My name is Paolo Pagani, and I am a multidisciplinary artist with a career that weaves together photography, painting, and mixed media. I began my career in 1991 as an advertising and fashion photographer, collaborating with Italian and international brands. This experience allowed me to develop a keen eye for light, composition, and visual storytelling.
In 2010, I rediscovered painting, focusing particularly on watercolor. This technique offered me new expressive possibilities, leading me to experiment with combinations between the delicacy of water and the solidity of other materials. My work primarily revolves around portraiture and figurative art, with a particular focus on capturing the emotional depth of my subjects.
Becoming a member of the American Watercolor Society in New York in 2023 was a significant milestone in my artistic journey. My works are showcased on international platforms like Saatchi Art and are part of several private collections, a recognition that motivates me to continue my research.
The interplay between painting and photography is a natural way for me to tell stories, exploring new expressive paths while maintaining a balance between technique and spontaneity.
